Newbury Town are delighted to announce that we have agreed a sporting partnership with AFC Newbury, one of the biggest youth football clubs in the local area.

While both clubs will continue to operate independently, this partnership will bring multiple benefits to both organisations and, most importantly, to the local football community.

At Newbury Town, we are committed to providing young local players with a clear pathway into men’s football when the time is right. This partnership strengthens that commitment and creates exciting opportunities for players to progress through the football pyramid within Newbury.

As part of the partnership, Newbury Town will support AFC Newbury through joint fundraising events, matchday mascot experiences, and a range of other initiatives that will be announced in the coming months.

Newbury Town Chairman, Danny Langford, said:

“I think this is something that has been needed for a long time. AFC Newbury has a really successful junior section, and we are delighted to provide those players with an opportunity to move into the senior game with Newbury Town.

We will also be arranging some joint fundraising events, so please keep your eyes open for further announcements.”
